London Tech Week 2023 - 10th Anniversary (Day One)

For the tenth year, London Tech Week has returned with an action-packed 2023 schedule, bringing together industry experts and entrepreneurs from around the world.

The week-long event begins today at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, with over 30,000 attendees expected, including over 3,500 entrepreneurs and over 850 investors.

Speakers in London Tech Week 2023 range from politicians such as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to CEOs from firms such as Google DeepMind and Darktrace.

Stakeholders will take the stage throughout the week to discuss themes such as UK entrepreneurship, climate tech, the metaverse, and, of course, the latest tech buzzword - generative AI.

Here are some of the initiatives announced this week:

  • Assisting local governments in the acquisition and testing of "smart lampposts" to improve community connectedness
  • The UK and Australia have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to lay the groundwork for future telecoms collaboration.
  • Connecting Papa Stour, a rural and inaccessible village, to high-speed broadband
  • The UK government has selected future telecoms as one of its five critical technologies, and the country is committed to remaining a global leader in the field. These programmes are part of the government's strategy to boost connection across the country for both citizens and enterprises.

If you have a chance to be in London there is still Tuesday 13th June & Wednesday 14th June to visit where tickets can be found here.

However the London Tech Week experience is streaming live on YouTube, so make sure to tune in through the day!
